Janet Behan
I’m Janet Behan, an Irish actress and playwright from the Behan family. I work in theatre and film, acting and writing stories that resonate with people. My work often reflects my Irish heritage and the experiences that shape us.
Actor & Writer- Freelance practioner
I have been a professional actress for the past 35 years and a playwright for the past ten. My first play – “Brendan at the Chelsea” – was produced at the riverside Studios in 2008 and last year at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast. It enjoyed its New York debut at the Acorn, 42nd Street and was described in the New York Times as a “must”. It then went on to tour Belfast, Dublin and Derry, playing to packed houses everywhere it went.
